How Does it Work?

  1. Get in touch: you can email me at mail@tamarahoutveen.com or call me: +31 6 284 923 16.
  2. We schedule a meeting (via Zoom or in person) and discuss your wishes and goals for the illustration together. I’ll ask you a number of questions to get a good idea of what you want. And of course, I’m happy to brainstorm with you.
  3. After our meeting, I’ll make a quote. Do you agree with that? Then I’ll ask for a deposit and start working on the sketches.
  4. Feedback on the sketches? No problem! We’ll discuss what you’d like to adjust together.
  5. I’ll adjust the sketches and send them to you. Completely satisfied? Then I’ll start working on the illustration.
  6. Do you want to change things in the layout or illustrations? No problem! Usually, we agree on 1 round of adjustments per project.
  7. At the end of the project, I’ll deliver the files in the desired file formats.

What Does it Cost?

I would like to give you a standard price, but no project I do is ‘standard’. The price for an illustration or project depends on a number of factors, such as:

  • the size of the assignment (quantity of illustrations & graphic design)
  • The style of the illustrations
  • The execution (size of the illustration and things like color usage)
  • Commercial or non-profit
  • License agreements
  • The other agreements we make (quantity of sketches and rounds of adjustments)
